Buyer Beware: Cotton in our Cashmere?

And by 1956 apparently it was common practice to mix cotton with cashmere - although I have never seen that.  I've seen wool/cashmere, silk/cashmere, but no cotton/cashmere.  It must feel or look significantly different that I don't even look at the label.
