5 minutes of fame...

Literally, 5 minutes of fame. On Jan. 28th I left to run an errand and when I got home to putz around in my shop I had about 340 hits on that red scarf. Odd - I checked everywhere and found no mention of my shop... And all the hits happened right around 10:30am. Back to normal since.

And then I decided to check here again, and low and behold I found the front page screen shot that someone captured. Voila. Mystery solved. Look out Horatio Green!

Now I know, and now you know, so we can all have a good day knowing that we know what we know.

Literally, 5 minutes of fame. I ran an errand came home and was goofing around with my shop page when I realized I got about 300 hits on that red scarf.

Searching around I didn't find until - until this morning when I thought I would check here. Low and behold, someone is committed to taking screen shots of front pages and posting them on flickr. Sweet for me!

Now I know, and now you know, so we can both have a great day knowing that we know why.

A GREAT Last Minute Gift

Aaaahhh.... Capers considers me one of the top last-minute gift ideas! What an honor. If you never been to Capers in West Seattle, you must go! They have the most wonderful things there - from furniture to jewelry to coffee table books to dishes to Sweet Petula bath & body products and Goodie slippers (which you know I love) to scarves and purses. Ok, it's just 1 big store with all the things you want to spoil yourself with!

And, they put Haute Goat on the front of their holiday postcard! :)

Not to mention, they carry my cashmere scarves, and keep selling out of them. I just took about 20 over there yesterday (yes, I loaded the family in the sled, harnessed up the horses and we risked the blizzard and freezing temperatures) so there MAY still be huge selection if you go today...but hurry, don't delay, because they'll be sold out by Monday and I will have to go back to restock :)

I'm not a Doctor, but I play one on TV...

Ok, not really - but I know enough that I can talk medical-ese with the best of 'em - and I may not be a TV star, but my scarves are!

Yes, it's true, my scarves had 30 seconds of fame today on "Moore to Life" with Kelley Moore on KONG 6/16 this morning. (See me doing the very-awkward (because in reality I am Elaine from Seinfeld)-driving-the-bus-happy-dance.)

I'm a "Favorite Thing"

One of Kelley Moore's Favorite Things that is! Kelley is an Entertainment and Lifestyle Expert - and what an expert she is if she loves Haute Goat reclaimed cashmere scarves! :)

So when I was on bedrest I religiously watched Martha Stewart (pre-prison-term) everyday (when you are stuck in bed, you'll be amazed as to where you set your priorities). I used to think to myself, "How do these designers, artists, chefs get discovered?" and "I wonder how it feels to be acknowledged by a guru..." Well, now that Kelley has posted my humble little scarf on her website, I can tell you my chest is puffed up (time for a new bra?) and I'm grinning ear to ear!

City Arts Magazine

Lookie who's in the October Eastside issue of City Arts magazine on page 11! And as an FYI - this blurb is about a show I'm going to be at on October 12th at St. Edwards Park in Kenmore (aka Juanita or Kirkland). But more on that later. Or you can have a sneak peak here.

the mug is by LAS Designs (and yes, I own one exactly like that - it's my everydayteacup and I LOVE it!)

the earrings are from Woven Chains (again, I own one of her pieces, mine is a keychain, totally fun to hold and play with)

the pendant is from Silent Goddess (who's work is new to me, I will have to check it out on Oct. 12th!)
