Other Goats: the Chicago Cubs and a goat

Who knew that goats could play such an important role in sports history (well I could've guessed it, but I'm a little goat obsessed in case you haven't figured it out).  It ends up that the Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1945 - and some believe it has to do with a billy goat not being let in to see the game...
The story goes, a Greek restauranteur named Billy Sianis brought his pet goat Murphy to see a Cubs game.  The tale gets a little foggy here, some say he was denied admission, because goats are not allowed in the stadium; others say he was kicked out because someone complained about the goats odor.  Billy gets mad and puts a curse on the Cubs.  So I have to ask - a Greek restauranteur and a pet goat - does it get more ironic than that?

And just for your info, the Cubs are 28 (wins) and 28 (losses) since donning the shirts on June 14, 2011 - I don't think the shirts killed the curse...
